West Coast Whale Tail Pendant - Orange/Yellow
First I cut out a copper tail shape. The rough edges are filed smooth, and then it’s placed in the tumbler where it swims around for 2 hours. Next a hole is drilled into the top for jewelry designing. Seven delicate layers of enamel are fired onto each tail, one at a time in order to achieve the unique ombre, crackle.
Raised lampwork accents (like the aloha flower) are torched precisely onto the design. To finish, the tail goes back into the tumbler for one last hour swish and emerges ready to be created into jewelry.
